Welcome to discover MONTFORT-SUR-ARGENS! This is truly an unspoiled village and area that provides a hint of life in “old” Provence. It is very calm but on the same time full of life. We have got everything you need for your vacation in the house and the village. There is no “nightlife” in this or any other village around. That you’ll find in St Tropez on the coast.

Our house is in the very middle of the village by the main fountain and the clock tower. All shops and restaurants mentioned down here are just across the street or one block away.

Market and mobile shops: A fish monger is coming every Tuesday about 10 AM, he makes two stops with his van in our street. You will hear him blow a whistle. Very best oysters and a variety of fish. On Fridays in the early morning, from 7, another van is selling horsemeat “chevalin”. After him the real butcher comes with his van. These two stops are just outside the bakery.

Grocery store and self service shop: If you cook at home you just buy supplies at the shop across the street. They have all basic plus local specialties. Opens 7 in the morning till late at night. Closed only for a little siesta. One block down the street is our self service shop.

Bakery: Next to the restaurant. Open from 7 every morning except Sunday afternoon and Monday when it’s closed.

Other shops: Honey factory with shop. Small door with little sign in the road to the left after the restaurant. Winery that sells all different wines from the village, situated across the Boule yard. And some other shops and a hairdresser.

Bar National: The bar is open from 6.30 AM (hangout and meeting point for early hunters) until about 8 PM except for three nights a week when they make pizza in a stone owen. These nights they are open later. Closed Mondays.

Restaurant Les Templiers: Depending on the season, the restaurant down to the right has different opening hours. Reasonable prices.

Post office: The Post office is located across the street from the restaurant.
